Direct thermal labels
How do thermal labels work? Heat prints, not ink.
Thermal label paper darkens under the heat of the barcode printer's print head; no ribbon, ink or toner needed. Scroll and watch the head pass and the barcode appear.
Eco thermal labels: short-life jobs such as shipping and price labels. Top-coated thermal labels: a moisture- and abrasion-resistant face for cold chain and food.

The minimum order is shown on each product page: some stock roll labels can be bought as a single roll, some sizes have a higher minimum. For custom-size and printed runs we usually recommend 5,000 labels or more so the unit cost comes down.

Thermal labels print with heat and need no ribbon; they suit short-life jobs such as shipping, receipt and price labels. Coated paper labels are printed by thermal transfer with a ribbon; they resist heat, light and abrasion better, so they are the choice for shelf and product labels.
