Beverage and Bottle Labels
On glass and PET bottles, labels are tested most by moisture and curvature. With cold drinks, condensation can cause paper labels to blister, so opaque PP, clear PP and metallized films are preferred; choosing an adhesive suited to wet, cold surfaces also determines the result. For conical or narrow-necked bottles, the label shape is prepared with a custom die cut based on the bottle's surface development.
The label carries fields such as brand name, product description, volume, ingredients, production and best-before information, recycling marks and barcode. For wine, olive oil and special edition beverages, the visual impact can be enhanced with hot foil and embossing.
