Top-Coated Thermal Labels
On top-coated thermal material, a clear protective layer is applied over the heat-sensitive layer. This layer limits the effects that erase the print on Eco Thermal Labels, such as moisture, oil and hand contact; printing is still ribbon-free, done directly by the heat of the print head. It is widely used for the cold chain, fresh food, meat and deli counters, pharmaceutical warehouses and logistics carton labels.
Freezer-grade adhesive is recommended for cold stores and frozen products, and permanent adhesive for flat cartons and crates. Fewer reprints and errors caused by unreadable barcodes can offset the price difference per roll in many operations.
